Changes to Patchs
Due to misuse of our online consultation platform (Patchs), which has the potential to cause clinical safety issues for our patients, the practice has taken the decision to CLOSE the weekend admin request functionality that was previously enabled on Saturdays and Sundays.
The practice had hoped to be able to safely allow patients to submit their administrative queries during our non-opening hours over weekends, however an influx of patients using this function to request advice and support with medical concerns at times when we are closed and do not have a clinician available to triage these, has meant that it is no longer safe for this admin feature to remain active.
With effect from Saturday 27th January 2024, our online consultation platform will be active between the hours of 6am – 6pm Monday to Friday only, via PATCHS
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to our patients; however, we hope that you understand our reasons for taking this decision are in the interests of keeping our patients safe.
