Clinical Research in General Practice

Here at Eric Moore Partnership Medical Practice we believe in the importance of clinical research and actively support research studies in primary care, not only within our own practice but across the Warrington area.

We are very excited to have joined the National Research Surveillance and Practice Group, hosted by Oxford University. This contributes pseudonymised data for monitoring infection and diseases in the community. It helps to provide Public health England with the prediction of outbreaks of influenza and other pandemics.

Eric Moore Partnership is currently taking part in the national PRINCIPLE clinical trial, which aims to find low-risk treatments for older people with COVID-19 that can be taken at home.

To be eligible to join the trial you will need to have experienced symptoms that are likely to be caused by COVID-19 for fewer than 15 days.

The trial is open to people aged 65 or over, or aged 50–64 with an underlying health condition.

If you are registered at Eric Moore Partnership and would like more information, please contact us on 01925 303199. You can also join the trial online, even if you are not currently registered with our practice.
