Our Doctors

Dr Rajkumar A Shanmugam (m)

MBBS, MRCGP, DRCOG, FFCI, DipDiab

Dr Raj Kumar heads up the practice team as its Senior GP Partner. 

Qualifying as a Doctor in 1991, and following his specialty training years in hospital and the community, he has worked as a General Medical Practitioner since 2000. He has led the Eric Moore Partnership Practice team over the years into a modern, multi-award winning service with a strong emphasis on supporting some of the most hard to reach and vulnerable sections of society. The practice and the team have recently been awarded the highest CQC rating of “outstanding”, for its current services to patients. 

Dr Kumar has a special interest in health and social care associated transformation and has developed innovative patient and clinical care pathways that has transformed how we look after and manage patients. In addition to national awards, he was also listed in the UK Health Service Journals ‘Top 50 NHS BAME Pioneers’ for his work and contribution to the development of Clinical Leadership and innovation in the wider NHS.
His first language is English and he converses with varying levels of fluency in Kiswahili, Hindi and Tamil.

Dr Oria Mariscal (f)

LMS 

Dr Mariscal joined Eric Moore Partnership after moving across to General Practice following an extensive number of years as an A&E Doctor, most recently at Warrington Hospital. Her emergency care skills are therefore well spoken for.

She graduated in Madrid, Spain as a Doctor in 2005. She then went on to train further in General Practice and Emergency Medicine and qualified as a General Practitioner in Madrid in 2011.

Dr Mariscal is the cancer and palliative care General Practitioner Lead for the practice. 

Dr Mariscal is part of the core team of General Practitioners; she is accessible all weekdays and attends to both sites of the Eric Moore Partnership.

She speaks English and Spanish fluently. 

Dr Tim Hudson (m)

MBChB, BSc (hons)

Dr Tim Hudson graduated in 1993 and qualified as a General Practitioner in 1998. 

Before joining Eric Moore Partnership he was a partner in a practice in Pudsey, near Leeds, for 10 years and has been a General Practitioner in Leigh for 8 years. 

Dr Hudson heads up all clinical services delivered by the practice, besides being the safeguarding lead.

Dr Hudson also supervises the General Practitioner trainees and foundation year Doctors within the practice.

He is the practice’s representative on the local Primary Network.

He has a special interest in respiratory medicine.

Dr Alice Chigagure (f)

MBchB, MRCGP

Dr Chigagure is a General Practitioner at Eric Moore Partnership, who joined us in late 2021.

Dr Usama Al-Hamarneh (m)

MBBS, MRCGP, MRCS,

DO-HNS

Dr Al-Hamarneh is a long-term sessional General Practitioner at the practice, who has worked at the Eric Moore Partnership since 2016.

He has a special interest in joint injections and also minor surgery. 

He speaks fluent English and also Arabic. 

Dr Mobeen Qureshi (m)

MBBS , MRCGP 

Dr Qureshi is a General Practitioner who joined Eric Moore Partnership in August 2022.

Our Nursing Team

Alison Robson (f)

Head of Nursing and Allied Health Professionals & Primary Care Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Alison Robson is a Senior Nurse Clinician as well as the Head of Nursing/Senior Nurse Manager for the Eric Moore Partnership Medical Practice. She is also the Training & Quality Lead. 

Alison trained and qualified as a registered General Nurse in the Queen Alexandra Royal Army Nursing Corps in 1991. Since then she has worked within a variety of NHS and military settings. She gained her masters qualification in 2000 and independent prescriber in 2006.

She has specialised within diabetes, family planning and primary care. 

Within the practice, as well as being a highly qualified Nurse Clinician, who not only sees patients independently, but she also heads up the Nursing team which consists of: 4 Nurse Clinicians, 4 Practice Nurses, a Physician Associate, 2 Healthcare Assistants and 2 GP Assistants.

She has a supporting and coordinating role in relation to their service delivery offering leadership, clinical supervision, mentorship and training.

Steven Forster (m)

Primary Care Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Steve has worked at Eric Moore Partnership since 2019 as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (Nurse Clinician).

Steve is a Senior Nurse with many years working in the Accident and Emergency Department as a Senior Charge Nurse, before qualifying with a Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice.

Steve is available all days of the week across both sites and also supports Mental Health Units attached the practice. 

Joanne Scott (f)

Primary Care Nurse Clinician

Joanne joined Eric Moore Partnership as a Practice Nurse in 2014. She has more recently qualified as a Nurse Practitioner with prescribing qualifications.

Jo completed her Nurse training in 2003 and went on to work at Salford Royal Hospital on both short-stay surgery and the surgical high dependency unit. She has also worked as a Community Nurse within the Warrington area.

Jo works alongside the GPs and ANPs, she sees a variety of undifferentiated medical conditions. In addition, she works alongside the other members of the nursing team seeing patients for a range of issues including, chronic disease management, childhood immunisations, and women’s health.

Jo also heads up the Homeless Outreach Service supported by a small team. This service has received national acclaim from the media and Prime Minister during the pandemic. 

Viki Dutton (f)

Primary Care Specialist Nurse

Viki has joined the practice in 2022.

She is currently working as a Practice Nurse and oversees childhood immunisations, cervical smears, chronic disease management including asthma, COPD, diabetes, ischaemic heart disease patients.

Rachel Baker (f)

Primary Care Specialist Nurse

Rachel has joined the practice in 2022.

Rachel has a background in ITU care and more recently was our local district nursing colleague. 

She is currently working as a Practice Nurse and oversees childhood immunisations, cervical smears, chronic disease management including asthma, COPD, diabetes, ischaemic heart disease patients.

Leanne Watson (f)

Primary Care Specialist Nurse

Leanne joined the practice in August 2023.

She has previous experience working in forensic and district nursing.

Rebekka Crowley (f)

Primary Care Specialist Nurse

Rebekka joined the practice in August 2023.

She transitioned from secondary care, where she worked on the acute trauma & orthopaedic ward for seven years. Previously qualified as a registered Nursing Associate in 2020 where she gained experience in providing care for general health, paediatric, mental health and learning disability patients.

Currently training to broaden her knowledge and skill set in relation to chronic diseases, childhood immunisations and cervical screening. Additionally, she works in close partnership with other surgeries across the PCN to promote and conduct clinical trails in the area to support the wider research required to improve patient care. 

Emma McMillan (f)

Healthcare Assistant

Emma is a Senior Healthcare Assistant with a long history of working within the primary care setting, and she worked in a variety of different administrative roles before training as a Healthcare Assistant (HCA). 

Emma is fully trained in performing spirometry testing, NHS health checks, ECGs, blood pressure checks, new patient health checks and some chronic disease reviews. She is also able to offer health promotion advice to patients who wish to make lifestyle changes in order to reduce their risk of cardiovascular disease and other health conditions.

She also assists with minor surgery procedures and other specialist clinics as required.

Debbie Hardman (f)

Healthcare Assistant

Debbie is a Senior Healthcare Assistant, who started at the Eric Moore Partnership in 2016 after working in Warrington Hospital where she completed her NHS Health Professionals training. 

Debbie’s role entails completing health checks, performing a range of diagnostic tests, i.e. blood pressure/urinalysis, phlebotomy, ECG’s, vaccinations, chronic disease reviews, spirometry, health promotion/education work, social prescribing. 

Mrs Melanie Tripkovic (f)

Mental Health Nurse

Mel qualified as a Mental Health Nurse in 1999 and over the past 25 years she has worked in a variety of settings within the NHS including acute admission wards, rehabilitation units, eating disorders unit, secure services, community services, working with older adults and working with people with both mental health problems and learning disabilities. 

She enjoys the partnership working between patient and nurse to achieve identified goals to promote a person’s positive mental health. She likes to work towards supporting people to gain new skills and coping mechanisms for them to be able to lead a fulfilling and independent life.  

She enjoys working as part of a varied team and also enjoys working with patients with a variety of mental health conditions including people with personality disorder traits, working with people who have anxiety and depression and working with patients who have long term mental health diagnoses.  

Norah (f)

GP Assistant

Norah has worked at the practice since 2016, and in recent years she has moved from working as a Patient Care Advisor into a GP Assistant role.

Norah supports Joanne with organising and delivering the Homelessness Outreach visits and also coordinates the care of patients in care homes/units. 

Ashley Blakemore (f)

GP Assistant

Ashley joined the practice in 2021 and recently moved from working as a Patient Care Advisor into a dual role of GP Assistant/Clinical Coder. 

Ashley is a fully trained Phlebotomist and can also perform blood pressure checks, ECGs and urinalysis.

 Ashley works alongside Norah coordinating the care of patients in care homes/units.

Our Practice Team

The Practice Business Manager, with the support of the Practice Operations Manager, is responsible for all management aspects of the service delivery. The administration team are supported by Dr. Raj Kumar (the executive GP) who is the overall responsible clinician for the service. 

Julie McCann (f)

Head of Practice & Business Manager

Julie McCann is the overall Head of the Management Team for the Eric Moore Partnership Medical Practice and its associated services.

She is the founding Practice Business Manager for the service and has worked alongside Dr Raj Kumar since the Eric Moore Partnership was created in 2004,  dedicating a significant proportion of her working life to the development of clinical services delivered by the practice to its patient population.  

Julie continues to oversee all aspects of the practice administrative and clinical teams and is the external facing senior manager to NHS bodies, commissioners and service providers. 

Suzi Parkinson (f)

Operations “Practice Manager” 

Suzi Parkinson is the Operations “Practice Manager” for Eric Moore Partnership.

Suzi has evolved into management role after being trained and having gained experience in a clinical role prior.

She oversees all aspects of the frontline administrative team and is the first level manager who directly interacts with staff and patient issues. 

She is also the Practice Clinical Audit Lead and is also heads up the IT Leadership mantle for the practice team.

Sharon Robb (f)

Senior Reception Team Supervisor

Sharon is the Senior Reception Team Supervisor who has been a long standing team member at the practice.

Sharon oversees the entire front office administrative team in her leadership role.

Julie Potts (f)

Senior Finance Administrator & Executive Administration Team

Julie Potts is a long standing senior member of the back office team.

Her primary role at the practice is Financial Administrator. She also is the FM facilities lead for the practice and its buildings and assists the secretarial team.

Reception

The administration and support staff within the practice include Medical Secretaries, Administrators, Patient Care Advisors (previously referred to as Practice Receptionists) and Audit Clerks, all of whom work to ensure that patients receive the best possible service from the practice. 

Catherine Whyte (f)

Senior Medical Secretary & Executive Administration Team

Cath Whyte is a Senior member of the Executive Administration team.

She also heads up the Medical Secretarial team and is the Executive PA to Dr Raj Kumar across his wider NHS roles. 

Jessica Jones (f)

Medical Secretary & Patient Experience Co-Ordinator

Jessica joined the practice in late 2020 as a Patient Care Advisor and has since progressed to work as part of the Medical Secretarial team.

She recently undertook the role of Patient Experience Co-Ordinator where she is first point of contact for patient experiences within the practice, heads up the PPG and runs the practice social media.

Shyam Muthiah Jayachandran (m)

Physician Assistant

Shyam is a Senior Physiotherapist and is also qualified as a Physician Associate.

Waseem Pahadi (m)

Qualified Physiotherapist.

Main areas of interest are MSK, Vestibular and IMC rehab.

Yasir Gotly (m)

Clinical Pharmacist

Yasir is a Clinical Pharmacist and he works within the practice as part of the Pharmacist Team dealing with all medication management issues.

Yi Ker Sow (f)

Clinical Pharmacist

Yi Ker is a Clinical Pharmacist and she works within the practice as part of the Pharmacist Team dealing with all medication management issues.

Rebecca Miller (f)

Pharmacy Technician

Rebecca is a Pharmacy Technician who works alongside the Clinical Pharmacists within the practice supporting Medicines management.
