Specialised Services at this
Practice:
Community Ultrasound Service
Following on from the successful
pilot service, we are very pleased
to advise that this service is now a
commissioned service available to
all Warrington patients via direct
request from the patient's own GP.
Therefore , this service - for
Primary Care Ultrasound Scans - is
now a permanent fixture. The
practice acquired state of the art
modern ultrasound scanning equipment
that meets and surpasses all
standards as set in major specialist
centres. The Service is led by our
NHS Consultant Radiologist and
several visiting Radiology
Consultants and Senior
Ultrasonographers who support the
service. Access to diagnostics
appointments for patients allows GPs
to manage patients more effectively
within their own practice and has
reduced the inconvenience of long
waits and referrals to hospitals.
Appointments for this service are
made through your own GP.

Visiting Specialist Consultants
If a GP or another member of our
health care team believes you need
hospital treatment or specialist
care elsewhere, they will ask you
where and when you would like to go.
The Practice team can then book your
appointment electronically while you
wait.
If you would prefer to have some
time to think before deciding where
and when to have treatment, you will
be offered the option of contacting
the Practice later for support in
making the appointment or the
information sheet provided will
advise on how to book your own
appointment from home.

Ante-Natal Services
The Community Midwifery team will
care for patients during pregnancy
and following the birth of your
baby. They are based at Warrington
Hospital but offer ante-natal care
to patients each Monday and Tuesday
at the Practice.
The Midwife will aim to see
ante-natal patients around 10-12
weeks into a pregnancy. At the first
appointment (Booking In) you will
have the opportunity to talk and
plan the type of care that you want
for the pregnancy and birth, with
the Midwife. Further appointments
are then made at regular intervals
for you to be seen in the surgery by
the Midwife if your care is
"Midwifery Led Care" or appointments
are made with the hospital clinic
and the Practice clinic if you are
under "Shared Care" or "Consultant
Care".
If you have any questions/concerns

Midwives Office on 01925 662092. If
